The breakfasts were delicious and enjoyable with cakes and different nice music, couldn't ask for anything better. The location was stunning and amazing, very close to Firenze or Siena, the town walls of San Gimignano and san gimignano, centre to explore tuscany. It also was near enough to the town that you can walk there in 10 minutes for restaurants etc.

'Absolutely wonderful' Roberto Paola and "simpatico" son Cesare are the most gracious of hosts. The Locanda Viani is an absolutley fabulous location for anyone staying in Tuscany. Roberto and Paolo exude passion for their work and region complimenting one another and rendering your stay an experience you will never forget. The view from the Locanda Viani is stunning overlooking San Gimignano and within easy distance from Florence, Siena Pisa not to mention the fact your in the heart of one of the greatest wine producing areas in the world (Chianti -Montalcino -Vernaccia di San Gimignano). The accommodations offer every amenity needed to make your stay a most pleasant one. Dining at the Locanda is not only a must but a gastonomic experience in Tuscan culinary history as Paola will prepare ancient recepies (as well as personal creations) reserched together with husband Roberto that are centuries old and recreated deliciously at the Locanda. Roberto's wine selection and knowledge compliment every meal to perfection. Roberto is also able to arrange visits to local wineries, olive oil mills, cheese factories as welll as suggest day trip itineraries to many local sites. Will we return to Locanda Viani, most definately. We have to go back and pick up our hearts that we left behind.

The room at Locanda Viani was pure bliss! It had all the comforts I needed after a long day of exploring. The cozy atmosphere and thoughtful details made me feel right at home. I absolutely loved the slippers and complimentary toiletries, they made me feel pampered!
Personally, I found the room service a bit lacking. But hey, that's just me and others might still find it convenient!
